My 36th birthday started out with a hike at the arboretum with Katti and Berto. We ran into a man playing the saxophone under a tree. We sat and ate watermelon, listening to his playing for hours . . .
The evening of my birthday was a giant surprise of cupcakes and new Glee episodes with my neighbors Nate Larson and Roni Thomas. We had so much fun taking the above saying and switching around the letters to create new sayings ("art nerds" was a popular one). The more cocktails we had, the better the sayings became . . .
Throughout the week, I was given two wonderful dinners . . . A cook-out in Nashville with Dede and Dad. Another in Baltimore at a fabulous restaurant with Nora, Sarah, and Rob.
So much fun turning 36!
